REVIEW: Revlon Photoready Concealer (Light Medium 003)

Hi everyone,

Been using this since September and figured it's time for a review...

INITIAL THOUGHTS...
They should have re-thought the packaging.  I like how small and compact it is but I don't like that it's a lipstick style applicator.  It's so easy to get product inside the lid, yet so hard to clean!  I picked this up because I was running out of my Mac concealer and wanted something quick and convenient.  This seemed decent for it's size so I purchased it at my local Shoppers Drug Mart while browsing.

REVLON Photoready Concealer Review:

RESULT:  3/5
It's great for a quick fix.  It covers redness and undereye circles pretty well but would cover fully with 2 layers.  However, it can look cakey if built up too much.  It finishes matte, which I like.  I wouldn't recommend using it on dry acne scars, cause it can settle and emphasize the area.  If you must, it'd be best to exfoliate the area first.  However, I do like that it is SPF 20 and brightens up my under eye area.  I have fairly oily eyelids and I like that it doesn't crease.

TEXTURE:  4/5
I like that it's creamy, blends well, and feels generally lightweight.  It doesn't feel greasy either.

WEAR:  2.5/5
Meh, it's alright.  I can apply it in the morning before work and it'll last about 4 hours before retouching.

PRODUCT FOR PRICE:  2.5/5
I paid about 11-13$ for this and it lasted me about 5 months with daily use.  Currentely, I'm nearing the end and ready to toss it.  I wouldn't buy it again...not full price anyways.

Aww, I rather like this concealer. But to be honest I've only tried like...3 concealers in my whole life and I don't really have much to cover up. My main problems with this is that it would brighten up my pimples.

You're lucky! I have so bad skin :( Big pores, oily, dry, sensitive, and acne prone :S I don't hate it but I don't love it. I've heard great reviews about hard candy's concealer though :) Kind of excited to try that :D
