TUTORIAL: DIY Light Tent

Hello!

Gonna share a little DIY project I attempted last weekend - DIY light tent.

What is it?

"LIGHT TENT - Translucent fabric attached to a frame that surrounds a subject. Typically used to reduce reflection from highly reflective subjects. The light source is outside the enclosure, but the lens pokes through a hole in the fabric"  - Photographytips.com

A light tent is something I have wanted to have for awhile but I didn't want to lighten my wallet.  So I searched online on simple DIY projects which cost a fraction of the price for the same result.   It is pretty much free, if you just do it yourself.  The tools and items you need are most likely laying around your house; unloved, unused.

The first, easy tutorial I came across was from here.

The tutorial is brief yet thorough.  I will try to be a little more brief and hopefully as thorough through my post.  Definitely check out the link though.  They have several other DIY lighting tutorials that won't break your bank.

ACEO Artwork

Hi all,

Just wanted to share 2 new pieces of art I did on ACEO cards.  I know some of you might wonder what ACEO cards are, so I will briefly tell you.  They are Artist trading cards, similar to baseball trading cards.  They measure 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and some people sell them on ebay, etsy, or their own site.  You can also do prints of them and sell them for cheaper.  I might sell them ... one day, I dunno.  I'm really have fun with them right now and it might be my answer to start drawing regularly and more creatively now...We'll see!!

If you want to read more on these babies, I will link you to Wiki's page here.

Each piece took me about 1 hour and I had lots of fun doing them.  I'm pretty happy with the result.  I plan on doing more in the future and often.  What I really love about these cards is they're small and don't take forever to finish.  Some of you artists know what if feels like to dread going back to a piece that seems to be taking ages to complete.  And, by midway you got a new Idea!!!

'Nuff ramble...here are the drawings!!

Ps.  Too lazy to scan..I usually whip out the scanner for larger images.  So I give you a somewhat flat shot of the cards and 2 artsy angled shots.  Enjoy!

Can you tell I like colours!?

I really like this one...I orange makeup.

Thanks all!
Sara.

LENS REVIEW: EOS E-203 (Old) Adult Blue << Sponsored >>

Hello lovelies,

I'm back with another short review.

This review is kindly sponsored by the wonderful Shoppingholics.com.

Please note:  This post is for reviewing purposes only.  I am not being compensated to do this review.
Opinions expressed are 100% my own.

EOS E-203 Old adult blue

As some of you may know.  Shoppingholics also sponsored the same lens design in violet.  I did a short post on my thoughts of their website, which I still stand by today.  Full review here

Since this lens is of the same series, many of the ratings are the same.  And, since EOS is a popular brand, some of you may already know about the comfort of their lenses.  Most in the "Heyyy, these are feelin' goooood." category...If you just came for the photos..scroll dowwwn.  :)
