Sushi Anyone???

I managed to take these few pre-halloween snap shots a few days ago when the sun was setting. I'm wearing a loose white t-shirt and joggers which I won't be wearing the day of Halloween if I decide to up and trick or treat!




I guess I was really bored and the makeup looks awful...but ignore it, lol!



Do any of you plan on doing any post-Halloween shopping for all that bulk candy? I know I am!

FOTD - Copper eyes with a pink stained lip.

Just thought to share my makeup look this past weekend for a friends birthday.


For my eyes:
I used my 88 Matte Palette - J2, J5, J7, B8, K2. * Palette in the side bar :) *
Mascara and curler
NYX jumbo pencil in milk to line my lower water line.
Physicians Formula Gel Liner for my inner corners and lid lining.

For lips:
Prepped by lightly priming them with my mac concealer..enough to make them a nude colour.CG - Outlast smoothwear all day lip color *colour name is faded. Use any berry color...created a stained lip effect.
Finished with a pink gloss.

Halloween Costume - Shrimp Roll

What a weekend! The biggest bump this weekend was re-uploading my photos to my blog posts. I had unknowingly deleted all my blogspot pictures and it took about 4 hours total to reupload them all. :( Ooy *palm to forehead.

On a good note, this Saturday I made my halloween costume. I wanted something quick, easy, and uncommon. I find so often plenty of sexy costumes, and really...that's not me. I don't do sexy very well...maybe sultry is more my style. But, my costume isn't either. It's cute, fluffy, and it's gonna make you want to eat me! bwahahahaha!

I'm a sushi shrimp roll. I don't see this idea often and can't find a costume so I decided to make mine.

It took me about 4 hours to draft, cut, and sew this together. I'm pretty happy with my outcome. Many people will want to cuddle up against me this Halloween, or I will be chased with chopsticks and wasabi!

Items: Pillow stuffer, Pink and Black Fabric, Velcro,
Thread, and a Zipper. Of course I also used drafting paper,
and a sewing machine.

My Patterns:

Got the shrimp part done :). The shrimp is just a little
longer than my torso.

Tail...swish! swishhh!

The final product: I'm gonna wear it with a
white tee. What do you think?

Wales 88 Matte Palette

Just thought I'd share!

My Wales 88 Matte Palette came in on Thursday and I love it! I got this from S2Janie's blog sale.
If you don't know already, Janie is the owner of Pretty&Cute.com. She's real sweet and reliable.
This is new but some discs have very minor chips. It doesn't bother me though. I absolutely love the colours! They are the size of dimes but are so vibrant and pigmented.

FOTD - Fall 2010 Look

Frost, dew, coloured leaves, and naked trees. A few ways to describe fall and a good reason to do a FOTD. ^^

My fall look is inspired by subtle, stained lips, and clean eyes / eyebrows. Currently, these are trends that I spot more often in magazines and on the runways. I was going for fresh and dewy. Let me know what you think!

LENS REVIEW: EOS Dolly Eye Brown (V209LB)

Mustard yellow. The result I get. I don't like or dislike these lenses. They actually look pretty nice within distance and depending on the lighting. These are great Halloween and clubbing lenses though and they photograph much more vibrant and brighter. I prefer these in flash photos.

Colour: ★★★☆☆
A condiment colour lol. I like mustard on my sandwich, not my eyeballs. Like said, I don't particularly hate these, but I wouldn't buy them again. Maybe the grays will win me over. They seem to have a better result from what I've seen. But that's a later review..*wink.

Enlargement: ★★★☆☆
These are 14.2 mm lenses. So it's in between 14.0 and 14.5 obviously. I'm pretty happy with the enlargement. It's not too big or small, just right. I gave it 3/5 based on the fact that these aren't crazy enlarging, not because I find them a preferred size.

Comfort: ★★★☆☆
For some reason, these were less comfy than my other EOS lenses. They appear a little thicker? I didn't have any particular discomfort, really none at all. But, my other EOS lenses just seemed more comfortable.

Naturalness: ★☆☆☆☆
Quite obvious just by looking at the photos below. Solid unnatural colour, blunt pupil hole, solid lines near the pupil, and sharp, thick limbal ring spells out FAKE. Unless, you're a mile away. Quite nice in the dark lol.

REVIEW: Claire's Eyeshadow Palette

Hi everyone,

Currently I just purchased an 88 palette from S2Janie and I'm just waiting for it to arrive. I believe the brand is Wales and the quality is comparable to Coastal scents, so I am very excited.

So... in order for me to calm my nerves I went shopping, lol. I didn't spend lots, because these babies didn't cost much. Actually, I bought one at 50% off so that's even better. I'm talking about Claire's eyeshadow palettes, which very much resemble these popular palettes that alot of beauty guru's are using. The only physical difference that I noticed is that Claire's has clear covers. I could be wrong.

This store actually carries lots of different colours that are bright and appear really pigmented, which is what caught my attention. They have themed palettes that come in booklets and give you an array of colours. Some have at least 20 colours with a mixture of matte and shimmer colours. It was really hard to pick!

I only ended up purchasing two small palettes, both of which have ten discs. My total costed me about 11$ CAD. For that price, I will say I'm not disappointed. I really liked the colours I picked and to be quite honest, the pigmentation is fairly good, but great with primer.

As you can see, the pigmentation is much, much better with primer. I was really happy with the outcome. The colours are beautiful and the feel of the powder isn't really chalky, but a bit creamier. The only real issue is blending for me. But that could just be me.
Overall this was a fun purchase.

Nuit Blanche 2010 - Pic Heavy.

Hi everyone,

Saturday night was eventful and fun. I attended a Fashion event held by Nuit Blanche.

Nuit Blanche is a free, all night art event held in downtown Toronto. It's one of Toronto's busier night life events. What I really love about this is that some events allow you and even encourage you to participate. There is a large variety of types-of-art, ranging from drawing, drumming, dancing, projector screens onto buildings, tents in trees, to smashing things.

This year was the second time I've attended. The night started off with me attending my friends fashion event in which she was a finalist. It was the best part of my night as I got to see some of the nicest jewelry, fashion, and accessories. There were live models posing like mannequins in displays, free drinks, raffle prizes, and music. I also got a gift bag, which is packed with so many goodies!

After her event, two other friends and I walked down Queen St. (one of the busiest streets of the event) where I participated in "make the longest wig" held by an art institute. Don't worry though, instead of handing out pieces of hair, they handed out pieces of yarn, ribbon, or string to create these wigs. It was fun.

The only thing you have to prepare for this event is...walking. You will do lots of it. For me though, I ended the night once I hit my street and took the streetcar home.
