Mini Haul

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share my mini haul I purchased about a week ago.

Here are the items I got:

A 12 pc makeup brush set from a store that sells lots of NYX Products. The sales lady told me it's made out of goat hair and they are very soft brushes. I used one of the brushes on my lids and it feels nice. So I am pretty happy with this purchase. I got these from Pacific Mall.

Steal: $13.99

I figured since I like to play around with eyeshadows and such and am limited in brushes, I thought I'd get myself a small set. I was looking for something reasonable in terms of pricing and quality.

Photo of the brushes.

Close up shots. Playing around with my Camera.

2 Pairs of lenses for 35$. They last 6 months and are patterned like the Geo Nudy Series.
Except, I believe these are more pigmented and the gray is 3 toned. The blue appears to be more vibrant and almost baby blue like. Unlike the Geo Nudy blue, though I don't have, is darker in photos.

Calaview - 2 tone Blue

ColorNova - 3 tone Gray

And....

A squishy donut keychain / phone charm. I use it on my keys though. It's super soft and looks edible. I have a thing for sweets and pastries and this is something I just WANTED, lol. It only costed $2.00.

Thanks!
Sara.

LENS REVIEW: EOS Max Pure Brown (G201)

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to do a quick review before I go to bed. It feels like I haven't posted in the longest time, but it's only been about 6 days.

This review is for one of my favourite lens at the moment. EOS Max Pure brown. I got these awhile ago from a different seller. I don't believe she sells anymore, but these are very popular lenses to be found through many shops.

MAX PURE BROWN

Review for EOS (g-201) Max Pure Brown:

Colour: ★★★★☆
I love the colour of these lenses. Off the eye, the lens itself is a dark brownish gradient into an orangish center. But once on the eye, they melt into a warm reddish brown colour. They make my eyes a little lighter which is a bonus. These blend nicely like my Max Pure Pinks.
Enlargement: ★★★★☆
I remember the first time I tried these on. It was a huge difference from my regular 14.0 mm lenses. They were huge! These appear much bigger than my EOS Super Nudy Greens. Maybe because it's a darker colour, they appear bigger.

Comfort: ★★★★☆
Like all my eos lenses, I don't have any problems with these. They are very comfy.

Naturalness: ★★★★☆
I would have given it 5/5, but I do believe it's too big to be natural. The blending is natural and the effect also, it's just the size. Maybe the regular pure browns will be a future purchase. Heheh.

Overall, I love these lenses. They are natural enough to wear in the daytime and at night. These are super dolly and the colour is beautiful. I would buy these again.

Photo time!

LENS REVIEW: EOS Super Nudy Green (G207)

Hi all,

I'm back with another lens review.

These lenses were sponsored by Kiwiberry1-collection.com. I am in no way affiliated with this company and am not being paid to do this review. This is all based on personal and honest opinion.

First and foremost, I love the colour of these lenses. They are a beautiful green colour. It's not a hulk green like my angel greens
(which I wasn't too fond of). These are more of a rich forest green.

Eos (G-207) Super Nudy Green Review:

Colour: ★★★★☆
Like above, I love the colour of these lenses. In person they are a rich forest green and photograph a bit more brightly and boldly, yet still very gem like and pretty. These look nothing like Dollyeye Green, which I find are a scary green.

Enlargement: ★★★1/2☆☆
These lenses are 14.5 mm and are good for enlargement. For some reason though, they didn't appear too big on me. Maybe I am used to 14.5 mm now, but I still find my Max Pure Browns larger even though they are the same diameter. Still larger than 14.0 mm, obviously. Yet somehow not as enlarging as initially thought.

Comfort: ★★★★☆
Like all my EOS lenses, I like them. :)

Naturalness: ★★★☆☆
I think the colour is too rich to pull off as natural, it's almost unreal. But the lens is dark enough to not fully give away the fact these are lenses. I find it hard to explain. I guess you'll have to judge for yourself.

Price: ★★★★☆
Of course, like ALL of her lenses. 20$ USD.

PORTRAIT: Scarlett Johansson

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share my first piece of artwork that took me almost 4 months to complete! j/k lol...it actually took me about 9 hours total to do, I just expanded the time frame an extra 120 days because I'M SO LAZY!

I used to do this all the time a few years back as a hobby and have quieted down for the longest time. Long story short as to why I slowed down...No inspiration. And the fact that I kept being asked for favors with "special discount". I hate saying no so I just cut off completely. I don't mind doing portraits so long as their interesting and it's fairly compensated. After all, it is time consuming.

Enough of that...let's move onto the drawing.

*** First and foremost, obviously I own no credit to the photo referenced, I merely recreated it with a few simple tweaks. I didn't fully complete the bodice. It's supposed to have feathers and I removed her forearm. Now that I fully admitted my mistakes, you can judge for yourself. haha!

Hope you like!

Again,...hope you like!

Until next time,

LENS REVIEW: Solotica Hidrocor Ocre

Hi everyone,

Today I'm going to do a review for an old pair of lens. Solotica Hidrocor Ocre.

SOLOTICA HIDROCOR OCRE
PHOTO INDOORS / FLASH

Contact Lens review for Solotica Hidrocor Ocre:

Colour:
★★

I
really like the colour of these lenses. They give off a very light brown-grayish result. In some lighting it gives off almost a vanilla like effect which doesn't bother me. This is one of the reasons I bought this lens, because of the colour.

Enlargement:

These lenses are the opposite. They make my irises smaller due to the fact it has no limbal ring. This is also one of the main reasons I bought them and the main reason I got rid of them. Initially I thought they would look super natural because it doesn't have a harsh limbal ring, it's a one tone lens, and it has a smaller than normal, feathered pupil hole. And it does look super natural, on the right iris size though. The printed color area extends beyond my iris, bleeding (or leakage as some may call it) onto my sclera. Because of this, it creates a yellow limbal ring around my iris, causing them to appear cloudy or have a cataract like effect. This wasn't so noticeable indoors where it's more dim. However, in natural daylight it was a major turn off. My eyes looked "muddy".

Comfort:

This is like my NC mels. These lenses are thicker than normal and I don't wear them for long periods of time or even that often. So I can't really complain as I gauge the time if I want to wear these. However, comfort varies from person to person. This goes with any lens, not just Solotica.

Naturalness:

I gave these a three out of five, because it lacks the limbal ring. Entirely my fault though, lol. But I'll know for next time. If anything, I should have opted for Hidrocor Ice, because the lens is white and the leakage won't be as noticeable or even at all. The blending though is great. I actually love the blending effect these gave.

Price:

It is a very costly lens. It can range anywhere between 75$ USD ~ 120$ USD. This depends on where you buy it. It is a yearly lens and in my personal opinion, I think it's worth it. ^^

My NA'VI (Avatar)

Hi everyone,

I was bored today and was looking at some self-made Avatars on Facebook and I got a little kick to do one myself. I love that movie and I am so excited for the second!
I've always wondered what I'd look like as a Na'vi and so I decided to create my own in Photoshop.
I am in no way a pro at this program, I'm actually a noob and self taught. I use the tools I know to create the result I want and I'm pretty happy with the outcome! So I thought I'd share. :)

Let me know your thoughts!

Me as a Na'vi! Pretty cool!
Created in Photoshop CS2.

My reference photo used.
Lenses are Bausch & Lomb softlens Indigo

Have you created your own Na'vi?
If so, please share!..I'd love to see!

Thanks!
Sara.
